When Wars Collide: The War on Drugs and the Global War on Terror
This paper examines the intersection of the war on drugs and the war on terror by looking at two cases: Colombia and Afghanistan. In particular, it analyzes lessons that can be learned from the state of both countries' politics and policy. The author pays special attention to the difficulty of dealing with the term “terrorism” and its political usage.
