The Impact of SARS on China
In this article, the author defines the challenges which SARS presents to China’s government and its public health system. The author explains that since its first appearance in November 2002, the SARS epidemic has inflicted a blow to the Chinese society and its economy. The paper discusses the extent of the economic impact of the disease, demonstrating that the initial burdens fell most heavily with China's service industry.
