Russian Analytical Digest No 132: Russia and Northeast Asia
Russian Foreign Policy between Conflict and Rapprochement
This issue of the RAD focuses on Russia's bilateral relations with Japan and North Korea. The first article explores how Moscow's territorial disputes with Tokyo continue to overshadow their relations. The second article then examines how Russia's foreign policy towards North Korea isn’t truly bilateral – i.e., it’s part of a wider attempt to increase its influence in the Asia-Pacific region.
