Weighing the Cost of the BSA in the Domestic and Neighbourhood Contexts (Part II)
This article is the second part of a two part series analyzing the development of the US-Afghan Bilateral Security Agreement. After a brief discussion of the negotiation developments so far, the author examines the potential impact a BSA failure would have on US-Afghan relations generally, the US-led drone war in Pakistan and Afghan security. She further looks at the impacts a successful BSA would likely have on Afghanistan’s position in the region.
