Between a Rock and a Hard Place: What is Turkey’s Place in the Transatlantic Market?
This commentary looks at the implications that the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), between the EU and US, could have on Turkey’s relationship with these large trading zones. The authors argue that Turkey faces a conundrum in that it does a large amount of trade with these two actors, but will not have a direct say in the negotiations. They then explore a variety of policy options that the Turkish government may wish to pursue in order to address this situation.
