The Global Trading System at a Turning Point
This brief analyzes the implications of the negotiated Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) between the European Union and the United States. The negotiations are relevant to more than just the transatlantic economic area and are most likely to effect the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the multilateral trade agreements in place. The authors look at possible consequences for other countries that do not have a seat at the negotiating table and propose rules to counteract any erosion of the multilateral system.
