Globalization and Sea Power
Overview and Context
This chapter explores the relationship between maritime power, globalization and US national security. It defines sea power as being broader than naval warfare, discusses the maritime components of international security alliances, and the proliferation of information systems and technologies. The author offers four major conclusions about the relationship between the modern phenomenon of globalization and the concept of sea power.
