Strategic Foresight: Anticipation and Capacity to Act
This paper discusses the concept of strategic foresight as a tool for preserving and enhancing strategic decision-making and the capacity to act in a globalized, unpredictable world. It outlines the basic structure of strategic foresight, examines related examples from Singapore and the UK and discusses options for implementing it in Switzerland. The author argues that only if the benefits of strategic foresight are apparent will it be incorporated into the policy-making process.
