International Relations Theory and American Grand Strategy
This paper examines how international relations theories can be applied to the US' grand strategy. Three theories – realism, liberal institutionalism and constructivism – are outlined before the author relates them to the situation of the US in the international system and the country's National Security Strategy of 2006.
