New Political Contestation in the European Union
This paper analyzes the ways in which prominent issues such as climate change, immigration, regional security and EU enlargement have impacted political contestation in the EU. The authors highlight the debate between a cosmopolitan versus a more communitarian political approach within the EU. The paper also assesses the relevance of contestation in the union and examines its impact on political uncertainty.
