The Adaptation of Information Technology (IT) and the Revolution in Military Affairs, into the New Conceptual Approach in the Way of Fighting
This paper examines the application of information technology (IT) in military affairs and examines whether it has caused a revolution in the perception of war. After outlining the state of the international environment since the end of the Cold War, the paper discusses the concept of the IT revolution in military affairs (IT-RMA) and examines the application of IT in combination with different operational concepts. The paper ends with a view of the transformation of the Greek armed forces and the role IT-RMA plays in it.
