East Asian States, the Arctic Council and International Relations in the Arctic

This policy brief talks about the strategic interests of three Asian states in the Arctic region - China, Japan and South Korea. In terms of the increasingly important Arctic Council, the brief additionally argues that it is in its best interest to admit these states as official observers, and to engage them fully in future Arctic governance.
