Examining the Prospects of South Korea "Going Nuclear"
Recent North Korean threats and actions have revived discussions about South Korea possibly “going nuclear” (i.e., developing its own nuclear weapons). This brief ponders the feasibility of this option and concludes that the financial and political costs would outweigh the benefits, particularly in the short to medium term.
