Underpinnings for US-Brazil Defense Cooperation

This paper looks the defense cooperation between the US and Brazil. The author reviews Brazil's National Defense Strategy and its fit with the US strategy especially with regard to technology transfer. Among emerging powers, Brazil is politically and culturally the closest to the US, argues the author. The US should therefore welcome Brazil as a true and equal partner in international affairs.
