The Legislative Response
This paper discusses the illicit trafficking of nuclear or other radioactive material, which is considered by many to represent a threat to international peace and security. This report investigates the international legal framework currently in place to address the illicit trafficking of nuclear and other radioactive material and identifies what activities are covered by existing prohibitions. It provides a clear overview of the current state of legal instruments underpinning the fight against illicit trafficking of these materials.
