Evolution of a Multilateral Security Mechanism in Northeast Asia
Issues and Prospects
This publication deals with the prospects for the development of a multilateral security mechanism in Northeast Asia. To better understand the dynamic relationship between Japan, China, the US, and South Korea, the Pacific Forum held a conference to which young and senior leaders contributed. After the conference, the young leaders held a separate roundtable session to discuss the prospects and utility of multilateral mechanisms to define the security challenges in Northeast Asia.
