A European Approach to the New Strategic Space Environment

Galileo is a project for a global satellite-based navigation by the European Space Agency (ESA).

While European nations acknowledge the importance of using space assets to achieve and preserve their security, they don't necessarily recognize space as a strategic environment where antagonisms and threats could play themselves out. Given this type of thinking, this text argues that Europe needs a strategy or policy that not only addresses the issue of space control, but also binds the various elements of space power together.
