Counterterrorism and Human Rights

Opportunities to Improve U.S. and UN Policy

This meeting is the first of a series of workshops and briefings that the Center on Global Counterterrorism Cooperation will be doing over the course of the next year, with support from the Connect U.S. Fund. The project aims to build on efforts by the Obama administration to restore U.S. credibility and leadership on human rights while countering terrorism and help translate that into action at the international level through U.S. leadership and engagement with multilateral institutions, in particular the UN Security Council in New York and the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.
