Africa and an Arms Trade Treaty
This paper discusses the preliminary perceptions and understandings of African countries on an Arms Trade Treaty (ATT). After a short historical review of an ATT establishment, the author analyzes the consequences of the UN attempt for an ATT on Africa. The author also examines the position of different countries such as Egypt, Nigeria or Algeria and the implication it has on the rest of the African countries.
