Regional Economic Planning in Cameroon
This paper presents an overview of Cameroon's experience with development planning, which has emphasized a strong regional dimension. It focuses in particular on the following features of Cameroonian regional development planning: the machinery for planning, preparation of regional/provincial plans and projects, regional allocation of planned investments, and the institutions responsible for the coordination and implementation of regional plans. It also provides a general evaluation of the Cameroonian experience.
