Syria’s Threat to America’s National Interest
This publication addresses Syria’s threat to the US national interest in the Middle East and argues that this threat is exaggerated because it can only be understood in the context of US plans to reconfigure the Middle East. The author argues that whether Syria will use weapons of mass destruction (WMD) against others is debatable. Subsequently, he states that using WMDs would be inconsistent with Syria’s well-established political approach.
