The End of Impunity?
After the Kingpins, What Next for Guinea-Bissau?
This paper focuses on the weaknesses of Guinea-Bissau's criminal justice system, including the legal impunity routinely granted to criminals. As long as proper legal follow-ups and processes remain absent, the country will have to worry about fending off instability and conflict rather than preparing for 'democratic' elections.
