How to Get Out of Afghanistan: NATO's Withdrawal Through Central Asia
By taking a look at the challenges posed by the Central Asian region and NATO's logistic system, this paper considers why the withdrawal of equipment is a huge technical and political challenge. To manage relations with the region and sustain its transition out of Afghanistan, NATO will have to address its long-term interests in Central Asia and engage in a broader effort to encourage regional dialogue and stability.
