Russia's Role in the Baltic Approaches to National Security and the European Security and Defence Policy
This chapter analyzes the role of Russia in the approaches of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania to national security and to the European Security and Defence Policy (ESDP). The author discusses the concepts of threat perceptions and security in the Baltics, the need for governmental regulation of foreign direct investment, and the failure of defense sector reforms in Russia and their impact on the region.
