Regional Dynamics in the Mediterranean and Prospects for Transatlantic Cooperation
What impact has the Arab uprisings had on the countries in the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean? This publication grapples with this question by focusing on four affected areas -- 1) trade and investment, 2) regional migration, 3) energy cooperation, and 4) the ongoing interplay of civil society, culture and media. Last, the text provides policy recommendations on how the transatlantic community should deal with the problems that exist in these areas.
