Long-Term Kaya-Identity Analysis and Prerequisites of a Sustainable and Green Economic Growth in a 2° World
This article is concerned with the long-term implications of climate change. It analyzes the determining factors of global CO2-emissions since 1800 until today using the “Kaya-Identity” which expresses the amount of CO2-emissions as the product of population, GDP per capita, energy intensity of GDP and CO2-intensity of energy consumption. The article concludes by looking at the prerequisites for future sustainable and green economic growth.
