A Study of the Role of Survey in Mine Action
This report describes the role and impact of survey in mine action. The author explains that it is difficult to accurately record unexploded ordnance (UXO) and mine contamination, and that the results of many surveys have often failed to satisfy stakeholders. The report states that the role and impact of survey is one of the most challenging and critically debated aspects of mine action.
