Myanmar: The Politics of Economic Reform
Along with political reforms, Myanmar is rebuilding its economy and integrating it with the global system. Yet, the path of economic reconstruction will not be smooth or straightforward warn the authors. To achieve broad-based and equitable growth, effectively implemented policies are required. With so much to be changed, and limited capacity at both the policy-formulation and policy-implementation levels, there is a risk that the administration will be overwhelmed. However, if Myanmar is able to manage this complex process, it might finally be able realize its enormous economic potential.
