Gezi Park One Month On: What Lies Ahead?
This brief examines the impact that the 2013 Gezi Park protests have had on Turkey's domestic and foreign politics. Identifying the protestors' demands as legitimate and necessary in a democratic society, the authors express doubts over the government's willingness to take on broader demands. Yet with important elections slated for 2014 and 2015, they suggest a more nuanced political landscape may be on the horizon.
