Turkey’s ‘Indignants’ Take to the Streets
This commentary contextualizes the protests in Turkey in May and June 2013. The reasons behind the protests, among others, are Prime Minister Erdogan’s perceived authoritarianism, the seeming Islamicization of Turkish society, and the unpopularity of the AKP's foreign policy towards Syria.
