Maritime Confidence Building in Regions of Tension
This publication examines examples of functional maritime confidence-building measures (CBMs) implemented across various regions of the world. It presents essays exploring how the concept of maritime confidence-building is developing in the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, and South Asia. The authors also explore how the US and the Soviet Union/Russia have utilized CBMs to stabilize bilateral maritime relations.
