Mid-Term Evaluation of the 2009-14 European Parliament
Legislative Activity and Decision-Making Dynamics
This report analyses legislative activity in the European Union and coalition formation in the European Parliament (EP) during the first half of the 7th legislative term, 2009-14. Contrasting the findings with what the authors expect based on the 2004-09 and previous legislative terms, it becomes evident that changes in the composition of the EP and the entry into force of the Lisbon Treaty have had a marked impact on the institutions.
