Russian Military Reforms: An Evaluation
Since 2008, Russia has undertaken comprehensive reforms in its defense and military sectors. This brief argues that substantial progress has been made, notwithstanding notable problems with corruption and limited resources, as well as an unfavorable economic climate. The author contends that the reforms are aimed at maximizing Russia's international power in line with President Putin's strategic objectives.
