April 2013 Trends

This monthly issue of Crisis Watch provides us a status report on 70 ongoing or potential conflicts in the world. As usual, the updates are listed alphabetically by region and perform three basic tasks – 1) determine whether the overall situation in each conflict has significantly deteriorated, improved or remained unchanged; 2) alert readers to those cases where there is a particular risk of escalated conflict or, on the other hand, a conflict resolution opportunity; and 3) provide references and links to more detailed sources of information.
