This issue of the Central Asia-Caucasus Analyst features analyses of Russia's role and interests in Central Asia and the CIS and Russia's bid to the WTO. Some articles discuss implications of the renewed violence in Chechnya for the republic's leadership and the controversial US base Manas in Kyrgyzstan.
