Afghan Technical Consultants (ATC)
The principal objective of Afghan Technical Consultants (ATC) is the elimination of mines and unexploded ordinance within Afghanistan to reduce the number of casualties among the civilian population and to enable land to be returned to productive use, thus reducing reliance on international food aid. The demining organizations is funded by the UN and cooperates with other demining organizations coordinated by the Mine Action Center for Afghanistan at the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
