J-PAL
J-PAL (Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab) is a research network based at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The J-PAL network consists of 55 affiliated professors around the world who are united by their use of Randomized Evaluations (REs) to answer questions critical to poverty alleviation. J-PAL's mission is to reduce poverty by ensuring that policy is based on scientific evidence. J-PAL works to achieve this by conducting rigorous impact evaluations, building capacity with training programs, and impacting policy through dissemination and outreach. In addition to its global offices in the US, J-PAL has regional offices in Chile, France, India and South Africa.
