New Issues in Peacebuilding
In this audio presentation from the 2013 International Security Forum, four experts discuss recent developments in peacebuilding. Among other things, they focus on 1) the role of mediation in resolving disputes between criminal gangs, 2) the increasing role of political rather than peace missions within the UN, and 3) using business as a peacebuilding and conflict prevention tool. (Note: The speakers include Timothy Sisk from the University of Denver; Ana Glenda Tager from Interpeace, and Achim Wennmann from the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform. The discussant is Mirjana Spoljaric, who is from the United Nations and International Organisations Division of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.)
