Shared History and Transcultural Security: The Arab-Islamic World and the West
In this audio presentation from the 2013 International Security Forum, three experts discuss the concept of 'transcultural security' within a world defined by instant connectivity and deepening interdependence. As part of their discussion, the experts further attempt to reconcile three differing views of global affairs and their policy implications. (Note: The speakers include Peter Pormann from The University of Manchester; Nassif Hitti from the Arab League and UNESCO; and Eibe Riedel from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.)
