Armed Violence
In this audio presentation, four experts use the Second Ministerial Review Conference of the Geneva Declaration on Armed Violence and Development as a filter to discuss some of the core issues related to these two topics. (The conference occurred from 31 October - 1 November 2011.) More specifically, the experts discuss the symbiotic negative-positive relationship between armed violence and human development. (Note: The speakers include Luigi de Martino, who is the Geneva Declaration Project Coordinator for the Small Arms Survey; Erwin van Veen from the OECD Development Assistance Committee; Zack Taylor, who works for the Bureau for Crisis Prevention and Recovery, UNDP; and Elisabeth Gilgen from the Small Arms Survey.)
