Are Legal Norms Distinctive and What Do They Add to the Analysis of Political Change?
In this audio presentation, George Washington University's Martha Finnemore talks about the way in which legal norms differ from laws, particularly at the international level, and the way such norms influence policy. (Note: Finnemore gave her talk at a workshop on the contributions of constructivism to IR analysis and what future constructivist research agendas might look like. Also, Travers Mcleod from the Oxford Martin School is the other discussant in the presentation.)
