China, Cybersecurity, and Crisis Stability
In this audio presentation, Adam Segal, who is CFR's Senior Fellow for China Studies, talks about American-Chinese disputes over cybersecurity. More specifically, he clarifies the logic behind Beijing’s hacking activities and why Chinese leaders condemn the ‘inconsistencies’ of Washington’s cyberspace policies. Finally, Segal believes that a long-term US-China rapprochement on cybersecurity will occur, but not before more attacks occur in the interim.
