Development for the Future: Escaping Negative Consequences
Ian Johnson, Secretary General of the Club of Rome, discusses the unwanted side-effects of development and highlights possibilities for change. He notes that there has not been the quality of economic growth necessary to lift billions of people out of poverty, and argues for enlightened public policy which properly values social and environmental resources.
