Informal Global Governance: The Case of Nuclear Disarmament

Having thousands of people going to the streets is one thing but civil society organizations also need clear strategies on how to influence government policy, says Alyn Ware, peace worker and nuclear disarmament activist. The 2009 winner of the Right Livelihood Award talks about how civil society plays an increasingly active role in global governance and how global interdependence has made it easier for states to renounce nuclear weapons.
