A Mid-term Outlook on the Dynamics of Power
Dr. Joseph Nye
Dr Joseph Nye shares his outlook on the future of power in the mid-term. He discusses the factors which are driving the evolution of power and challenges the conventional notions of waning US power and the rise of Asia. While he highlights other actors will asserting themselves to a far greater degree, he notes that in the coming decades, the diffusion of power afforded by advances in technology will allow non-state actors and individuals to play a greater role in shaping the world, and will require a greater degree of sophistication in how we think about and use power.
