Where is the People's Republic heading?
Major General Pan Zhenqiang discusses the implications of greater global leadership for China, especially in terms of its commitment to international stability and peacekeeping operations. He also examines the domestic challenges facing China that will play an important role in shaping Chinese foreign policy. General Pan is director of research at the Institute for Strategy and Management of the Central University of Finance and Economics in Beijing and senior advisor to the China Foundation for International Studies and to the China Reform Forum.
