Dr Stephen Aris, a senior researcher at the Center for Security Studies and author of the forthcoming, "Eurasian Regionalism: Shanghai Cooperation Organization," discusses the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on the eve of its 10th anniversary. He examines the impact the SCO has had on the Russia-China relationship, and the fundamental aspects of security and economic cooperation that have come to underpin the emergence of this Central Asian regional hub.
