Energy Market Instability
Matthew Hulbert, a senior research fellow at the Center for Security Studies, discusses the global energy market response to the political crisis in Egypt, and the role that the perception of political risk plays in commodity pricing in the energy market. In particular, he highlights how the confluence of important geopolitical factors-- especially instability in the Middle East -- is driving the rise in oil prices.
