Putting Climate Change and Carbon Emissions in Context
Dr. Jean Pascal van Ypersele, Vice Chair of the Intergovernmental Panel in Climate Change (IPCC), discusses climate change in the context of the time scales involved in the absorption of greenhouses gases. In particular, he highlights the role of the annual accumulation of carbon emissions and the importance of reducing these in the short term to mitigate the effects of climate change.
